When faced with financial difficulty no matter what the reason, it's sometimes hard to face the fact that you, and only you, must eventually deal with your creditors. You may be feeling angry, confused, fearful or frustrated, but you are the only one who can turn the situation around. In situations like this you need a friendly advisor and a link to go between you and your creditors. Consumer Credit Counseling Service can help. After you and your counselor assess your situation, they may suggest a debt repayment plan based on your ability to pay and the cooperation of your creditors. CCCSN then contacts your creditors to make the necessary arrangements. As a member of the DMP, you will pay a one time set up fee of $50.00 and you will send CCCSN a monthly deposit that covers the amount negotiated with your creditors plus a $25 per month administration fee. CCCSN will forward your payment to your creditors. It's that simple.
